QRコードが読み取れないときの原因と対処法

作ったQRコードが、スマホで読み取れないときは、次の点を、順に確認してみましょう。

原因と対処

  1. 小さすぎる。 2cm角以上に大きくします。
  2. ぼやけている。 画像を引き伸ばしたり、強く圧縮したりすると、模様の境目がにじみます。大きめのPNG（2000px）か、SVGを使います。
  3. 周りの余白がない。 余白を切り取ったり、他の絵や文字をかぶせたりしていないか、確認します。
  4. 色が薄い。 背景が白で、模様が濃い色になっているか、確認します。
  5. 文字が多すぎる。 模様が細かくなります。短いURLにするか、不要な文字を減らします。
  6. 読み取る環境が悪い。 暗い、画面が反射する、ななめから撮っている、などです。正面から、明るい場所で試します。
  7. 画像を加工した。 色の変更や、模様の上への書き込みなど、加工しないほうが確実です。

作り直すとき

QRコードを作成で、次のように作り直してみてください。

読み取りアプリの問題かも

アプリによって、読み取りやすさが違います。標準のカメラで、読めなければ、別のQRコードアプリを、試してみます。

印刷物で試す

画面では読めても、紙に印刷すると、読めなくなることもあります。印刷したもので、必ず試してください。

Why a QR Code Won't Scan and What to Do

If a QR code you made won't scan on a phone, check the following in order.

Causes and fixes

  1. Too small. Enlarge it to at least 2 cm square.
  2. Blurry. Stretching or heavy compression blurs the edges of the pattern. Use a larger PNG (2000px) or SVG.
  3. No margin around it. Check that you did not trim the margin or overlay pictures or text.
  4. Color too light. Check that the background is white and the pattern is dark.
  5. Too much text. It makes the pattern dense. Use a shorter URL or cut unneeded text.
  6. Poor scanning conditions. Dark, glare on the screen, or an angled shot. Try from the front in a bright place.
  7. You edited the image. Changing colors or drawing over the pattern is risky; avoid editing it.

When remaking it

Try remaking it with Create a QR Code like this:

Apps differ in how well they scan. If the standard camera cannot read it, try another QR app.

Test the printed copy

It may scan on screen but fail on paper. Always test the printed copy.
