How to Add Margins to a PDF Before Printing
Key points
- Choose a PDF
- Choose a margin
- Save and print
Some printers don't print the very edge of the paper. Adding a margin first with Resize PDF Pages to One Size helps prevent cut-off edges.
Steps
- Choose a PDF and choose the same paper size it already uses (such as A4).
- Set "Margin" to "5 mm" or "10 mm".
- Tap "Resize and create the PDF" and save.
Note
The content becomes slightly smaller. The larger the margin, the smaller it gets.

- Crop PDF Margins: Trim PDF margins automatically or by setting each edge. Easier to read on a phone, cleaner to print.
- Merge PDFs: Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose.
- Combine PDF Pages onto One Sheet (2-up, 4-up): Arrange several PDF pages on one A4 sheet (2, 4, 6, 8 or 9 up) to save paper when printing.
