Adjusting File Size and Dimensions of ID and Portrait Photos
Key points
- Check the required pixel size and file limit first
- Reduce dimensions to fit the size
- If the ratio differs, crop to adjust
Application forms sometimes specify "W×H px" and "within N MB".
Steps
- Confirm the requirements (px, ratio, size, format).
- If the ratio differs, use "Crop & Rotate Image" to crop to the required ratio (such as 3:4).
- Use "Compress & Resize Images" to fit the file size.
- Save and upload to the form.
Notes
- This tool shrinks based on the long side. It doesn't fit an exact pixel size. If the requirement is strict, consider other methods per the recipient's instructions.
- Also check the recipient's photo conditions, such as a clearly visible face and a plain background.
Checking
Before uploading, open the image and look at face, hair and shoulder placement and brightness.
