How to Combine Several PDFs into One (Phone and Computer)

You may be asked to submit separate PDFs — résumé, transcript, portfolio — as a single file.

Steps

Open "Merge PDFs" and choose the PDFs with "Choose PDFs". You can select several at once.
A list appears; use "↑" and "↓" to reorder. Remove any you don't want with "Delete".
Tap "Merge" and save the finished PDF.

Deciding the order

The recipient sometimes specifies an order. Matching the order of the "required documents" in the call for applications makes it easier for the reviewer.

Checking after saving

Does the total page count match the sum of the originals?
Are page order and orientation consistent? (If not, fix them with Rotate & Reorder PDF Pages)
Does the file name follow the recipient's rules?

Phone vs. computer

Phone (iPhone / Android): tap "Choose PDFs" to pick from the Files app and similar. Add files one by one or select several at once. To save, choose "Save to Files" and the like from the share sheet.
Computer: choose files with "Choose PDFs" or drag PDFs onto the page. Saved files go to your Downloads folder.

When merging fails

Password-protected PDFs can't be merged. This site can't remove passwords, so ask the creator for a version without one.
Very large PDFs can slow down your device. Compress the PDF first if needed.

Files are processed only on your device and never sent out.
