How to Tidy a PDF with Mixed Portrait and Landscape Pages
Key points
- "Same orientation" and "readable orientation" differ
- Rotate wide pages to reading direction
- Aligned orientation avoids print layout problems
Documents sometimes mix portrait pages with landscape pages such as tables and graphs.
How to think about it
- The page shape (tall or wide) can stay as it is
- The problem is pages that make you tilt your head to read
Steps
- Open the PDF in "Rotate & Reorder PDF Pages".
- Find pages that came out sideways.
- Tap "Rotate" on them until the text reads correctly.
- Save.
Note
A wide table page should stay wide, rotated so it reads properly. There's no need to force everything to portrait.
When printing
In print settings, choosing "Fit to page" or "Auto-rotate" often prints mixed orientations cleanly.
