How to Delete Unneeded Pages from a PDF
Key points
- Select the pages to remove and choose "Delete"
- "Keep" and "Delete" differ only in which way the selection acts
- The original is unchanged
Use this when a scanned PDF has blank pages mixed in, or when you want to drop just the cover.
Steps
- In "Extract or Delete PDF Pages", choose the PDF.
- Tap the pages you want to remove to check them.
- Under "Selected pages", choose "Delete".
- Save.
"Keep" vs "Delete"
- Few pages to remove → select them and choose "Delete"
- Few pages to keep → select them and choose "Keep"
Work with whichever selection is smaller.
Check before deleting
- A page that looks blank may contain faint text
- No other page refers to it ("continued on the next page")
- If page numbers no longer line up, you can re-add numbers later with "Add Page Numbers to PDF"
After saving
Look through from start to end and make sure no needed page was removed.
