How to Submit a PDF Without Pages Containing Personal Information
Key points
- Remove pages that don't need to be sent
- Check that the remaining pages don't show personal info
- Keep the original file separately
Contracts, grade reports and pay slips sometimes bundle several kinds of information in one PDF. If you send only the pages the recipient needs, you avoid handing over extra information.
Steps
- In "Extract or Delete PDF Pages", choose the PDF.
- Select the needed pages, choose "Keep" and save.
- Open the new PDF and check that only those pages remain.
What to check
- No content from another page shows at the edges of the kept pages
- Headers and footers don't include unnecessary information
- Skipped page numbers don't look odd; re-add numbers if needed
Note
This tool works on whole pages. It has no feature to hide part of a page (such as only a name). If you need partial masking, follow the recipient's instructions and use another method.
The original PDF is unchanged, so you can keep it somewhere else.
