PDFには、タイトルを設定できます。ブラウザでPDFを開くと、タブの名前に、タイトルが表示されることがあります。

タイトルを付けるとよいこと

ブラウザのタブが、ファイル名ではなく、内容に合った名前になります。
読み上げソフトなどが、書類のタイトルを読み上げやすくなります。
一覧の中から、目的の書類を探しやすくなります。

悪いタイトルの例

「Microsoft Word - 文書1」のような、ソフトが付けた名前。
昔の資料のタイトルが、そのまま残っているもの。

手順

PDFのプロパティを確認・削除で、PDFを選びます。
「タイトル」の欄を見ます。
「上の内容に書き換える」を選び、タイトルの欄に、内容が分かる短い名前を入れます。

例：「履歴書（2026年10月）」

作成者などが不要なら、その欄を、空にします。空にした欄は、消えます。
「保存用のPDFを作る」を押し、保存します。

確認

ブラウザで、保存したPDFを開き、タブの名前が、設定したタイトルになっているか確かめます。ブラウザによっては、表示が違います。

You can set a title in a PDF. When you open a PDF in a browser, the title can appear as the tab name.

Why a title helps

The browser tab shows a name that matches the content, not the file name.
Screen readers can read out the document title more easily.
It is easier to find the document you want in a list.

Examples of poor titles

A name the software added, such as "Microsoft Word - Document1".
The title of older material carried over as it is.

Steps

Choose the PDF in View and Remove PDF Properties.
Look at the "Title" field.
Choose "Replace with the values above" and enter a short name that tells what it is.

Example: "Resume (October 2026)"

If you do not need the author and so on, leave those fields empty. An empty field is removed.
Tap "Create the PDF" and save.

Check

Open the saved PDF in a browser and check that the tab name is the title you set. Display differs by browser.
