身分証や契約書のコピーを、メールやアップロードで渡すとき、そのコピーが、ほかの目的に使われないか、不安になることがあります。透かしを入れると、悪用のリスクを、少し減らせます。

透かしを入れる理由

「これはコピーで、この目的のために渡したものだ」と、はっきりさせるためです。
画像だけだと、別の場所で使い回されても、気づきにくくなります。

入れる文字の例

「◯◯社提出用 2026/10/20」のように、提出先、用途、日付を入れます。
「コピー」だけより、提出先の名前が入っているほうが、ほかに使いにくくなります。

入れ方のコツ

PDFに透かし文字を入れるで、文字を入れます。
入れ方は、「全面にくり返す」がおすすめです。1つだけだと、トリミングで切り取られやすいためです。
色は、グレーか赤で、濃さは「ふつう」にします。薄すぎると、見えなくなります。
書類の大事な情報（氏名・番号など）が読めるか、プレビューで確認します。

写真で撮った書類のとき

スマホで撮った書類の写真は、先に写真をPDFに変換で、PDFにしてから、透かしを入れます。

透かしは、消そうと思えば消せます。これだけで、悪用を完全に防げるわけではありません。提出先が、本当に必要としている相手かを、まず確認してください。

ほかにできること

必要のない情報は、渡さない（見せなくていい面や、項目は出さない）。
提出後の、保管や削除の方法を、提出先に確認する。
送るときは、宛先を、よく確認する。

When you hand over copies of ID or contracts by email or upload, you may worry they will be used for something else. A watermark lowers that risk a little.

Why watermark

To make clear that "this is a copy, given for this purpose".
With only an image, reuse elsewhere is harder to notice.

What to write

Include the recipient, purpose and date, such as "For ○○ Co. submission 2026/10/20".
Naming the recipient makes it harder to use elsewhere than just "Copy".

Tips

Enter the text in Add a Text Watermark to PDF.
Choose "Repeat across the page". A single mark is easy to crop out.
Use gray or red at "Medium" opacity. Too light and it disappears.
Check in the preview that the important details (name, number) remain readable.

For documents photographed on a phone

Turn a phone photo of a document into a PDF first with Photos to PDF, then add the watermark.

A watermark can be removed if someone tries. It does not fully prevent misuse on its own. First confirm that the recipient really needs it.

Other things you can do

Do not hand over unnecessary information (leave out sides or fields that need not be shown).
Ask the recipient how they store and delete it after submission.
Double-check the address when sending.
