Separating Several Documents Scanned into One PDF
Key points
- Note the page numbers where each document starts
- Use "By ranges" to split at those points
- Rename the files clearly afterwards
Steps
- Open the PDF and note which pages each document spans.
- In "Split PDF", choose the PDF and select "By ranges".
- Enter the ranges you noted. Example: "1-2, 3-5, 6"
- Tap "Split" and save.
Example
For a résumé (pages 1–2), transcript (3–5) and recommendation (6), enter "1-2, 3-5, 6".
After saving
Files are numbered "_01", "_02". Renaming them to something descriptive avoids confusion later.
Checking
- Are the first and last pages of each file correct?
- Are any pages missing or duplicated?
