Splitting a PDF and Reassembling Only the Parts You Need
Key points
- Three stages: split → select → merge
- Cut out the parts you need by ranges
- Finally merge and check the order
For example, when you want to collect only the needed parts of three source PDFs into one.
Steps
- Split each PDF with "Split PDF" using "By ranges" (e.g. "1-3" of document A).
- Save only the files you need, from the ZIP or one by one.
- In "Merge PDFs", choose the files, set the order and combine into one.
An easier way
If the needed parts are consecutive pages, you can take them out in one go with "Extract or Delete PDF Pages".
Checking
- Page count and order after merging
- No duplicate pages
- Consistent orientation
Tools that go well with this
- Extract or Delete PDF Pages: Keep only the pages you need, or remove the pages you don't.
- Merge PDFs: Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose.
- Compress PDF: Shrink a PDF to fit under a size you choose, for upload limits.
