How it works

  • COUNTIF counts the cells that meet a condition, and COUNTIFS counts the cells that meet two conditions.
  • COUNTBLANK counts empty cells and COUNTA counts filled cells.

Notes

  • CONTAINS counts the cells that contain the text.
  • UNIQUE counts distinct values. If there are empty cells, use the second formula.
