How to use
- Tap "Choose a file" and select the file to check.
- Hashes such as SHA-256 appear.
- Paste the publisher's hash to see whether it matches.
How it works
- A hash is a short fingerprint-like string calculated from the contents of a file.
- Change even one character and the hash becomes completely different.
Notes
- MD5 is not supported. SHA-256, SHA-1 and SHA-512 are used.
- Very large files may not be checked if the device runs out of memory.
FAQ
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is processed inside the browser on your device.
If the hashes match, is the file safe?
It only shows the contents are identical. A match with the publisher's value is a sign the file was not damaged or altered on the way.
