- Tap "Choose images" and select images (several allowed).
- The camera, date taken and whether a GPS location is stored are shown.
- Choose a format (JPG or PNG).
- Tap "Remove the data and save" and save.
How it works
- The image is redrawn and saved, so location, date and camera model are all removed.
- It looks almost exactly the same.
Notes
- The image is recompressed on saving, so quality may change very slightly.
- HEIC files must be converted to JPG first with the HEIC to JPG tool.
FAQ
Why does a photo contain location data?
Phone cameras can record where a photo was taken. Posting it as is can reveal places like your home.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is processed inside the browser on your device.
Is it removed when I upload to social media?
Some services strip it, but not reliably. Removing it beforehand is safer.
